Outstanding Alumni

Nominate by March 1st for Consideration in the May Awards Cycle

Nominations for the Outstanding Alumni Award are accepted year-round. To be considered for the current year's award, submissions must be received by March 1. Nominations received after this date will be reviewed for the following year. The award is presented annually at the May Commencement Ceremony.

Eligibility: The award honors graduates of Lakeview College of Nursing, including alumni from Danville Training School, Lakeview Hospital School of Nursing, Lakeview Memorial School of Nursing, and Lakeview Medical Center School of Nursing. Recipients exemplify excellence in leadership, professionalism, nursing research, education, or administration and have made significant contributions to healthcare or service to humanity. The recipient should embody the core values of Lakeview College of Nursing: adaptability, caring, excellence, integrity, and service while maintaining ongoing support and connection to Lakeview College of Nursing.

Nomination Requirements: To submit a nomination, please fill out the form below and attach the following documents:

  • Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  • At least one letter of support

Nominees must meet at least four of the following criteria:

  • Leadership: Recognized by peers as an outstanding leader and has contributed to the growth and development of the nursing profession.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates exemplary dedication to nursing, elevating the image of the profession through exceptional professionalism.
  • Contributions to Research or Education: Pursued advanced degrees or certifications, contributed to valuable research, published, or mentored nursing students.
  • Advocacy and Policy Work: Actively involved in healthcare advocacy and policy, with a focus on improving the healthcare system and patient outcomes.
  • Community Engagement: Demonstrates a commitment to community service and has positively impacted the health and well-being of others.
